As noted upthread, sometimes you "keep" your E+ seats if selected before drop in status.
Thanks again, though this is an upgrade in status, not a drop. The original plan was to be Silver already, but lost a December TATL trip due to illness in the family and came up 5K short, too much to buy up, and couldn't fit in an MR.

Premier member will be finished soon.
I already have a ticket on September. I also seat assigned for economy plus seat by website.
The problem is i will be non-elite member when i will board.
In this case, can i get the upgrade and Star Gold benefit(waiver baggage etc), 75% earning miles? Some of guy have been same situation by United. He can get benfit(waiver, upgrade stanby list) when he was Premier member. However, he did not get Premier member bonus miles.
Hopefully, i can get both benefit.

I think if the system works correctly, your benefit is based on your status on your day of departure.

maybe -- if no schedule / aircraft changes -- or anything that might cause a re-seating sweep, then you should be OK. There is no pro-active removal of non-qualified folks but other reasons could cause you to be bounced out.
So the sooner the better after status expiration.

E+ on award travel non-elite if booked by 1k?
I booked a roundtrip domestic flight for family members with my miles. I won't be joining them and they are non-elites.
On booking, the system allows me to pick E+ for flights 4 months out.
Does my 1K status make them eligible for the E+ seats or will the system at some point sweep them back to E-. If so, I'd rather get them favorable seats in E- now.
Thanks,

Economy Plus after Loss of Status
I haven't seen anything more recent than 2012 info. Currently Platinum and will be zero in 2015. If I book E+ seats now, what has been the current experience with maintaining those seats once I lose status? Have a trip planned in July with the family plus in-laws. And want to keep us together and ideally with E+ seats.
Any recent experience would be appreciated.

Going by past experience, that's correct. A lot changes in 2015, but likely not the glacial pace of updating UA's computer system so that policies are in sync with reality. So nobody can really say at this point, but odds are on the side of nothing much changing.

Does existing status stick to booked reservations, if status actually falls meantime?
Does anybody know what happens to reservations you booked while Gold, and took E+ seating, for travel that takes place after February 1 when your status will have dropped to Silver, which will be my case?
I'm starting to book flights for after Feb. 1 when I will be Silver, but I'm selecting E+.
Not sure if this have been covered, I couldn't find it.
I'll be Gold again by the end of 2015 which will come with Million Miler if nothing goes wrong!

Though I think OP has a very strong argument to get E+ by CS since through no fault of his he lost a benefit due to UA's conduct
