Last week, I’ve created small demo for the Interactive Lesson Tutorial. while a lesson video is playing, a student can click a “raise hand” button. This gives two options: ask a question or summarize the previous parts of the video (Multimodalilty). Today, I want to share another way I use AI to create supports for students in my classroom. Per usual, I am going to be using SchoolAI. (It is 🌟 free 🌟 for teachers. Shout out, SchoolAI. ILY ❤️ ) Word banks are essential. Imagine you're learning a new language or diving into complex texts. It can feel like you're trying to climb a mountain without the right gear. That's where word banks come in—they're like giving our students the perfect climbing boots to tackle that mountain.Word banks offer:1. A safety net for studentsto explore new texts and express themselves without the fear of stumbling over words.2. A tool for differentiation, allowing students of varying abilities to access the same content confidently.Creating a Word Bank with SchoolAIUtilize theCo-teacherfeature, and simply input the list of words you've identified, an article you are using, or have it generate your own. You can ask for definitions, synonyms, or even use cases to enrich your word bank.Integrate into LessonsThese word banks can be utilized in a variety of ways. They can be a reference during reading activities, a starting point for writing assignments, or even part of a fun, interactive game. The goal is to make these words familiar friends to your students, not daunting strangers.Remember, there's no one-size-fits-all method to using word banks or AI. Here's a quick preview of how to launch Magic Tools in MagicSchool AI.I think these tools will be beneficial, but there will be some learning curves. I will be guiding my students through the practical uses of the selected tools, give them ideas on when and how they could/should be used until they're more comfortable personalizing the tools for their unique learning experiences.I forgot to mention in the recording that all students do not need to create an account to access the tools and student conversations can be monitored in the teacher's view.What are your thoughts on MagicStudent or AI tools for student learning?#aiforeducation #education #teacher
